Environmentally Friendly Wrapping Paper?
Milco Paper is designed and printed in Australia using vege-based inks, environmentally friendly paper and sustainable practices.
The Paper
We print on environmentally friendly paper - from 100% recycled, FSC & PEFC certified to 100% carbon neutral
and more...
We all know that the manufacture of paper requires the use of natural resources - How much and how efficiently those resources are used depends on the production processes, so when choosing our paper, we consider the following factors in each papers environmental profile:
1
Fibre - where did the fibre come from and what % is virgin fibre verses recycled fibre (from partly recycled to 100% recycled fibre).
2
Recycled Fibre – where did the recycled fibre come from?
3
Forestry Certification – did the fibre come from sustainably managed forests where trees are grown specifically for paper production?
4
Whitening processes – how the paper achieved it whiteness? What chemicals were used in the process?
5
Environmental Accreditations – to ensure the continuous reduction of environmental impacts, what environmental management systems are in place and regularly accessed?
Energy – what power sources were used during manufacture? Were renewable energy sources such as wind and hydro power used?
Air, Water and Waste – what management systems are implemented by the paper manufacturer to minimise air and water emissions and waste?
... And we also choose Australian Made recycled paper where possible.
